About the Photoshoot

On this particular evening, I hiked down to the base of Godafoss, curious to experience the waterfall from a different perspective—looking up rather than down. From below, the waterfall reveals a quiet power. The sky was overcast, casting a silvery tone that the glacial waters reflected back like a mirror. It gave the entire scene a moody, contemplative atmosphere.

In the foreground, a moss-covered stone caught my eye—its vibrant green a gentle contrast against the subdued palette of water and sky. It felt like the essence of Icelandic summer: soft, mossy greens meeting the hushed silver of long twilight hours. This view, serene and grounded, is a reminder that beauty often lies beneath the flow.

About Godafoss

Godafoss, or "Waterfall of the Gods," is one of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls, located in the north of the country. It’s known for its graceful, horseshoe-shaped cascade and rich history. From above, it’s dramatic and sweeping—but from below, it reveals a more intimate power, where water, stone, and light meet in quiet harmony.
