About the Photoshoot

At Diamond Beach, pieces of glacial ice are constantly shaped and transformed by the ocean. This particular fragment caught Iurie’s eye for its unusual form, resembling a crystal sea snail emerging from the moving water.

Photographed as the waves flowed around it, the ice became the focal point of a scene that feels both delicate and powerful. The soft movement of the water contrasts beautifully with the intricate, sculptural texture of the ice.

About the Location – Diamond Beach, Iceland

Located on Iceland’s South Coast beside Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach is where icebergs and glacial fragments are carried from the lagoon into the Atlantic Ocean. The waves return some of these pieces to the black volcanic shore, creating one of Iceland’s most distinctive natural landscapes.

The appearance of the beach is constantly changing. Ice fragments vary in size, shape, and color, while the light and ocean transform the scene from one moment to the next.
