Diamond Beach never ceases to surprise me. On this evening, the sky erupted into shades of orange, red, and gold so intense that it seemed as though the horizon itself was on fire. The contrast between the burning sky and the icy blue glacier fragments scattered along the shoreline was extraordinary.

As waves rushed around the icebergs, I used a long exposure to capture their graceful movement. The flowing water transformed into soft ribbons of mist, swirling around the ancient ice like smoke around glowing embers. For a brief moment, fire and ice coexisted in perfect balance—a scene that felt uniquely Icelandic and impossible to forget.
